The Value of High-Pressured Tanning Beds

To meet the exacting standards of advanced tanning customers and delight intermediate customers, professional tanning salons offer them high-pressured tanning beds. The value of these tanning beds is the savings in money and time on the part of the client. Maintaining a great tan does not have to be expensive and time-consuming.

High-pressured tanning beds work much the same way as its low-pressure counterparts do. High-pressured and low-pressured tanning beds have light bulbs that emit the ultraviolet rays (UV) aimed at the body. The light stimulates the melanocytes in your skin to produce melanin which then oxidizes resulting to a darker skin. The similarity ends here though because while the low-pressured tanning beds emit an almost equal amount of UVB and UVA rays, the high-pressured tanning beds filter out most of the UVB rays.

UVB rays are considered to be the harmful of the UV rays. A low-pressured tanning bed exposes the client to the risk of developing skin problems like drying, burning and worse: skin cancer.
You do not want skin cancer. You want a great tan, that’s all so why take the risk?

With a low-pressured tanning bed, getting a good base tan takes up to 15 sessions or more. This results to more exposure to UVB rays which dry the skin easily and quickly. And when a skin is dry, it becomes flaky and is prone to peeling which renders a newly acquired tan useless. Clients who have grown accustomed to low-pressured tanning beds soon realize that they have been coming back and forth to maintain a tan. High-pressured tanning beds eliminate that inconvenience.

A high-pressured tanning bed does not dry your skin too much. Moisture is retained which makes for a better and longer-lasting tan. And it only takes 3 to 5 sessions in a high-pressure tanning bed to achieve a good base tan. Plus the tan lasts longer so you only need atleast 2 or 3 sessions per month to maintain that bronze look.

Less time with tanning sessions means more money savings. You don’t have to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars to get a great-looking tan. It can also save you from skin burning and the risk of developing certain types of skin cancer. Indeed, economy and safety is a tandem that’s hard to beat.

It’s no wonder that high-pressured tanning beds have become the primary choice in the tanning industry.

No matter what the season or weather is, a high-pressured tanning bed at home is a great and inexpensive way to maintain a perfect tan.
