The Right Way to Tan

Tanning Indoors or outdoors is not as easy as just lying down and waiting for you skin to turn darker. There are some tips that the tanner must follow to prevent himself from getting harmed and have great results as well. If he tries to follow some of these tips he might even glow at the end of his tanning session.

Tanning indoors or outdoors is basically the same process. Both tanning process utilizes ultraviolet rays that stimulate skin cells to produce the melanin that makes your skin tan. Indoor tanning however uses different combinations of ultraviolet A and B. The government has regulated exposure time in indoor tanning to minimize risks for the user.

You would need to control the amount of UV light on your skin for better results but you should learn to follow some precautions. Follow the precautions to prevent any skin danger and it would turn your enjoyment to a very disturbing experience.

1. Use eye proper eye protection. Simply closing them will not help out at all. Wearing outdoor sunglasses is no help at all too. If you don’t protect your eyes against the UV rays, you may risk long term eye injury. Instead wear eye protection at the site that is compliant with the FDA regulations. You wouldn’t want to look like a goldfish do you? Or if you already look like one maybe the rays might shrink it.

2. Wear lip balms or sunscreen on your lips as they will burn easily because they don’t produce melanin. If you would not want lips that are scarier than a zombie’s, follow this tips.

3. Cover areas that were previously unexposed when you plan to tan in the nude fort the 1st few sessions. Then expose the previously unexposed area gradually, so that they will have time to build melanin slowly. You don’t want to have a burned ass, as you may know how painful that will be.

4. Some medications can cause something bad with UV light. So go ask tips from your pharmacist or doctor first. You would not want to be a radioactive person like those in the comics.

5. To get the most out of each session try to moisturize your skin first before and after each session. Moisturizing can also help prevent a feeling that is to dry that is provided by the heat and light on the tanning sessions. Dry skin will make you look like a shedding snake, unless you enjoy peeling off your own dry skin.

Always remember that even though you were not able to become more pinkish or red that there weren’t any results. The red or pinkish thing you wanted to have is not really what you would want. The red and pinkish thingy are really sunburn, the worst things that can happen to your skin.

So be a smart tanner, use the tanning bed in moderation, and also use lotions. Remember the best skin doesn’t necessarily have to be a brown one, but the best skin are really the healthier ones.
